Solution by IBS, the IBS
e-Business Module.
This new application creates a B 2B
or B2C
website on your IBM iSeries server; instantly making your business an
e-business. The e-Business Module is a compatible module of the Universal
Business Solution by IBS; and with its’ built-in e-Mail component, it
gives your IBM iSeries great versatility in streamlining your
communication worldwide.
The emphasis of the
IBS e-Business Module
is on Business.
The important part of e-Business isn’t the "e". That has
become second nature. Many organizations still state that they put the
"e" in e-Business. However, IBS believes that the most important part of
e-Business is the "Business" part…being able to effectively and
efficiently conduct business online, including selling your products with
a very reasonable investment.
The IBS e-Business Module
is integrated with both of the IBS
Distribution Systems.
The IBS e-Business Module is fully integrated with both
the IBS Retail/Distribution Management System and the IBS Advanced
Distribution Management System. It can also be installed and integrated
with other applications that are not a part of the Universal Business
Solution.

e-Business Module dramatically
improves productivity!
When a customer places a web order, it resides in your
open order file, as though it
was keyed in by one of your customer service representatives. When the
order is completed, an email with the
order acknowledgment is automatically sent to the customer. Copies
of the web order are also sent to pertinent persons or departments in
your organization: Sales, Distribution, Sales Manager, etc., alerting
them that an order has just been received.
The IBS
e-Business Module also gives your customers
greater ease in ordering.
The IBS e-Business Module also give your customers
greater ease in placing and tracking product orders; in viewing account
information, and assessing their future ordering needs. It’s "User
Friendly" format is easy to navigate, which makes finding product
information and order placing simple and fast. When a customer enters
their customer number and password, they can choose from any of the
following search options:

Keywords

Favorites
By choosing "Favorites", the customer can automatically
capture frequently ordered items and then store them in a special folder
for later reference and retrieval. This allows faster Internet ordering
for items used on a repeat or ongoing basis. Additionally, if customers
wish to review their ordering history, they view a past purchase by just
keying in the order number.
