There are at least three good reasons to make sure these corrections are installed on your system.
-
This will insure you are using the best possible version of the operating system, with most known
problems already taken care of.
-
If you should happen to encounter a software problem, IBM can resolve the issue much
more quickly.
-
When you upgrade to a new release or version of software, this will make the job go much more smoothly.
The cumulative fix packages ("CUMs") are distributed on either tape or CD-ROM. If you subscribe to IBM Support-Line, you
can order them electronically from your AS/400 terminal session. Non-subscribers may order by mail or fax.
IBS recommends that everyone should have at least a minimum one hour Support Line contract.
